Watch this video to learn how to create a lookup dropdown list in Excel worksheets.

If you've ever wondered how you can search for specific data in an Excel table, using a selection list.

The first time you will select a cell from the auxiliary column where you will enter the FILTER formula, and between the round brackets you select the entire list of data, then type ISNUMBER, and between its brackets you will type the SEARCH function.

From here you will select the cell where the selection list will appear and the column with the data from the table, then you will close all the open brackets and press Enter.

You select the cell in which the selection list will appear and apply the key combination ALT+A+V+V.

In the opened data validation window, select the criterion on the LIST and at the source you will select the first cell in the auxiliary column and at the end add the symbol #.

Under error warnings, uncheck the option to show errors and click OK.
